Here is a scary scenario for you. Lets say that The  Governor and Lieutenant Governor are on a plane and it crashes. Today that would make Douglas LaFollete the Governor. And what do we know about him. Other than his name we really know nothing about his philosophy or his stand on issues.
Thats because the office is meaningless and powerless. There is no debate leading up to the election because no one pays any attention at all. And yet he would be Governor for the rest of the term.

What makes much more sense is to eliminate an office that no one cares about and make the Attorney General 3rd in line. We have a vigorous campaign for this office and we get to know the two candidates and make a decision on election day.

These offices, Treasurer and Secretary of State are wasteful and useless. they waste resources, time and money. This is exactly the right time to begin the process of eliminating them.
I do not want to wake up and find out Bronson LaFollete is The Governor.

I will vote for David King, I think he is an outstanding man, I believe he will make a great last Secretary of State
