- So you want to be elected to an office just so that you work to eliminate it? That doesn't make any sense. Are you nuts?
For me, this is the roll of a dice. If I am successful, I will be 59 years old and will find myself without a job. I am living my dream -- to get a seat at the table of government and to earn the trust of the voters. I hope that I can build on the success of this goal and run for Assembly or Senate once the office of Treasurer has been eliminated. Yes, this is a risky thing for a man my age to do.
- I think this is just a stunt. Once you get in you will go native and hope that the voters forget your promises.
Absolutely not. I will work tirelessly to advance legislation that will eliminate the office of Treasurer. If it does not succeed, it will not be due to lack of fortitude on my part.
- You will use your personal blog to expose waste and abuse?
I will be behind the lines fighting for transparency and for Wisconsin's strapped taxpayers. I intend to make public events taking place -- including shady backroom deals and waste or abuse. I want to take corruption out of Wisconsin politics.
