So you want to be elected to an office just so that you work to eliminate it? That doesn't make any sense. Are you nuts? Perhaps not nuts but this is a roll of the dice. If I am successful I will be 59 years old and will find myself without a job. I am living my dream to get a seat at the table of government. I hope that I can build on the success of this goal and run for assembly or the Senate once the office of Treasurer has been eliminated. But yes this is a risky thing for a man of my age to attempt.
I think this is just a stunt. Once you get in you will go native and hope that the voters forget your promises. Absolutely not. I will work tirelessly to advance this ammendment. If it does not succeed it will not be for any lack of effort on my part.
What about your opponent Jason Punzel? I have read about him and he seems to be a saavy business man and a principled conservative. The Voters of Wisconsin would be well served by him as well. But I think that the savings to the taxpayers of this offices elimination will far exceed any changes or efficiencies that he might bring to the office.
